CARRIE'S COOKBOOK - Mulled Apple Cider

MULLED APPLE CIDER

8 cup apple cider
1 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup lemon juice
12 whole cloves
2 large cinnamon sticks, broken into a few pieces
8 whole 6" cinnamon sticks

In large saucepan combine cider, brown sugar, lemon juice, cloves, and cinnamon pieces. Bring to a boil over high heat; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes. Remove spices, serve hot in mugs with cinnamon sticks.
