JAY'S LASAGNA
1/2c onion flakes
Night Before: Saute onion flakes and garlic in melted butter. Add beef and stir until brown. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, basil, oregano, chili powder, parsley and bay leaf. Simmer covered for 1-1/2 hours stirring occasionally. Let sit in fridge overnight. Next Day: Put in casserole dish and alternate the sauce and noodles. On top of each layer of sauce put parmesan and grated mozzarella cheeses. Bake at 375F for 30 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
1 clove garlic (minced & fried in butter) or 1T garlic powder
2T butter
1lb ground beef
1 (28oz) can tomatoes
1 (6oz) can tomato paste
1 (8oz) can tomato sauce
1 (10oz) can mushrooms
1-1/2c water
1t salt
1/2t pepper
1t basil
1t oreogano
1/4t chili powder
1t parsley flakes
1 bay leaf (2 if small)
1 box of oven ready lasagna noodles
as much parmesan & mozzarella cheeses as desired
*Yes this is Jay, as in my fiance. He made this for dinner one night when we knew it was going to be just the two of us. Sweet, huh?
