Barbecued Spare Ribs

BARBECUED SPARE RIBS

1/2c honey
1/2c soya sauce
1-1/2c beef broth
3T cider vinegar
2T dry sherry
2 cloves garlic, minced
1T sugar
1t ground ginger
2 racks spareribs (about 4lbs), cracked

Combine honey, soya sauce, beef broth, vinegar, sherry, garlic, sugar, and ginger in a bowl. Add the spareribs and marinate at room temperature 2 hours, turning and basting frequently. Drain reserving marinade and set aside. Arrange ribs on a rack in a shallow roasting pan and roast in a 350F oven 1-1/4 hours, basting frequently with marinade and pouring off accumulated fat. To serve, cut into individual ribs.
