Apple Cream Cheese Pie

APPLE CREAM CHEESE PIE

BASE:
1/2c butter, softened
1c flour
1/3c sugar
FILLING:
8 oz. cream cheese
1 egg
1/4c sugar
1/4t almond extract
TOPPING:
1/3c brown sugar
1/4t flour
1/2t cinnamon
2c sliced apples (4-5)
1/3 slivered almonds

BASE: Cream butter and sugar together. Blend in flour. Press evenly onto the bottom and up sides of an 8-1/2" springform pan or large pie plate. FILLING: Beat cream cheese until smooth. Beat in sugar, egg, and almond extract. Pour onto crust. TOPPING: In large bowl, combine brown sugar, flour and cinnamon. Place on top of filling. Arrange apples on top. Sprinkle with almonds. Bake 10 minutes at 425�F. Reduce heat to 350�F and bake 35 minutes more, until apples are tender. .
